We focused on fourth-quarter middle meat demand as a beef price driver in the last edition of the Insider. This is certainly the case in the current data as rib and tenderloins are pricing near their annual highs. However, a look at annual price trends across the beef carcass shows increasing contributions to CAB premiums from both ends of the carcass.

The barn painting initiative started as a public relations project, but it quickly turned into more than brand logos scattered throughout the country. Sheltering Generations – The American Barn features 40 dedicated Angus producers, and all proceeds from book sales go toward the CAB Rural Relief Fund, aiding ranch families during natural disasters.

Self-proclaimed “number nerds” Art and Stacy inherited the craving for information documentation on their herd of 800 cows. It serves a vision the Butlers held long before the market directly justified it, and it earned them the 2019 CAB Seedstock Commitment to Excellence Award.
