Tweetin’ in Nashville

I think it’s time to start a countdown… only 26 more days until the kickoff of the 2012 National Cattle Industry Convention and NCBA trade show! If you’ve ever been, you know it’s an exciting place to be the first week of February, and it happens to be one event I look forward to year-round.

To add another dose of excitement to the week, we’ll be adding facetime for our closest social media friends at the second annual NCBA tweetup, hosted at the Angus booth!

Last year, our tweetup was small but mighty; we put faces to twitter names, discussed our favorite social media tricks and tools, re-hashed some of the latest industry news and even introduced a few newbies to the world of Twitter.

Tweetup attendees will have an opportunity to meet and share more than Twitter’s 140 characters. The gathering is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 1 at the Angus booth, 1062, during the NCBA Trade Show Welcome Reception.

To add even more excitement, there will be not one, but two tweetup opportunties at the 2012 NCBA. Get to know your favorite fellow “tweeps” on Wednesday, then make sure to re-connect with them on Friday, Feb. 3 at 3 p.m. with our friends at the GoBrangus booth, 1637.

“Tweeps” following coverage of the 2012 Cattle Industry Annual Convention and Trade Show can use the hashtag: #NCBA12. And if you’re new to Twitter or interested in joining this social society, stop by — our friends at the NCBA Young Producer’s Council will have their how-to guides and experts on hand to help you get started.

So come on over on Wednesday and Friday to see what the talk’s all about. We can’t wait to see you in Nashville!

Until next time,
