We tell them so you don’t miss a beat at your operation. Learn a thing or two without ever leaving home.
Big Thinkers
More with less
Sustainability is a hot topic of conversation, but the folks at Bradley 3 Ranch make it tangible with 60+ years of continual progress. Their work in developing the land, cattle and water have turned what was once called a ‘wasteland’ into a ranching outfit worthy of recognition. B3R is our 2021 Sustainability Award winner.
Targeting excellence
First-generation seedstock producers Kevin and Lydia Yon, along with their children, Drake, Sally, and Corbin, have been continuously improving their farm since they drove the first fence posts on what was a 100-acre abandoned peach orchard in 1996.
The idea that worked
“So, if we make sure the humans can be prosperous and survive, that’s what sustainability is,” Mark Gardiner says. “That is the opportunity that USPB gave our family and thousands more all across the United States.” It’s why USPB earned the 2021 CAB Progressive Partner award.
Consumer Connection
Angus producers, brand protectors
Angus producers help identify CAB product in retail stores and restaurants, ensuring the brand is correctly represented. With 19 trademarks in nearly 100 countries, monitoring every use of the brand is a difficult task. Producers across the country help ease that responsibility by sending concerns to the CAB team.
The Code
Compound interest is the concept of making small investments over time add up. Depositing in the “trust bank” will keep the beef industry strong long term. This is our second installment of the quarterly “At the Table” column, authored by Nicole Erceg.
The proof on the plate
An American by birth and by food, Chef Venoy Rogers III loves incorporating beef into his “New American Fusion” cuisine. Spoiler alert: his guests love it too.
